What is the faith of Jesus? Would you like to have faith like Jesus?

Recently, we launched a new video series on our YouTube channel, which my brother and I are leading. The series focuses on studying and exploring the Faith of Jesus as presented in the Gospel of Mark. In each episode, my brother and I share what we've learned about the Faith of Jesus from that specific chapter in Mark, and then ask, “What did you find about the Faith of Jesus in the chapter?”

We warmly invite you to join us on a heartfelt journey through the Gospel of Mark, chapter by chapter. As we focus on the inspiring Faith of Jesus, we encourage you to share your thoughts and insights in the comments below or after watching the episode on YouTube. You'll find the reflections on the Faith of Jesus for Mark chapters 1-4 listed below. We look forward to growing together in faith and understanding!

Additionally, as we read the Bible, let's remember to apply what we learn. At the end of each chapter, we warmly encourage both you and ourselves to take meaningful actions based on our discussions and lessons. We pray that through these challenges, your Faith grows deeper.

Call to Action

Mark Chapter 1 Challenge: Ask God to wake you up early each morning and claim this verse: "He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to listen as a disciple" (Isaiah 50:4 NASB). Just as Jesus asked His Father to wake Him up early so He could renew His faith, let us also do the same.

Mark Chapter 2 Challenge: Follow the Holy Spirit’s convictions to call people to Jesus. Even if the person He convicts you to share with seems like they wouldn’t be a good person to reach out to, remember how Jesus called Matthew, the tax collector, to be a disciple. Matthew didn’t seem like a good fit for a disciple, but remember, God looks at the heart, not what man sees on the outside. “And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax booth, and he said to him, “Follow me.” And he rose and followed him” (Mark 2:14 ESV).

Mark Chapter 3 Challenge: Put God first in your life. Is Jesus the top priority for you, or are there other things that take precedence? “’No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.’ … But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” (Matthew 6:24, 33 ESV).

Mark Chapter 4 Challenge: Have FAITH amid the storm. Just as Jesus trusted His Father on that stormy night, let us also have faith in our Father amid life's difficulties and sorrows. "And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith” (Matthew 21:22 ESV).

As we continue our journey through the Gospel of Mark in search of the Faith of Jesus, let us remember this verse, "Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God" (Hebrews 12:2 ESV).

Jesus will perfect and help us grow our faith. Let us be vessels willing to be molded by the Master Potter.

Each Thursday through October 2, a new episode on the Faith of Jesus in the Gospel of Mark will be published on our YouTube channel.
