"'There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are they among so many?’ Then Jesus said, 'Make the people sit down.' Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks He distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to those sitting down; and likewise of the fish, as much as they wanted….Therefore they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves which were left over by those who had eaten."

John 6:9-11,13

God is still multiplying the little that we have into much.

Michelle migrated to the USA after many years of living in France. Soon after her arrival, she attended an evangelistic meeting where she learned about the love of God. She was baptized into the Christian faith while eight months pregnant. Her dream was to have a home of her own for her and her daughter. The only problem was that Michelle did not know how to read or write at all. She also didn't speak the English language very well. However, she let none of these things hinder her growth.

Michelle remembered the Bible verse 1 John 4:4 that reminded her that God was greater than any circumstances that she would ever face. She asked for His help wherever she went. She had others help to fill out necessary forms and she would sign her name. Soon she got a job cleaning houses in the well-to-do areas of town. She did such a wonderful job, that she had more homes than she knew what to do with. She saved enough money to buy a car and asked a friend to show her how to drive. Once she obtained her driver’s license, she was able to hire others to help her clean her many homes.

After a few years of saving money, Michelle had enough to purchase a home of her own. When she bought her home back in 2005, she was not a citizen nor did she have a green card. She didn't know how to read nor write, and she still didn't have a good grasp of the English language, but God took her efforts and the little that she had and multiplied it to give her a beautiful home in the very areas where she used to clean. She has been enjoying her home for fifteen years with her beautiful family, giving thanks for what the LORD has done.

Call to Believe

Despite all the challenges that Michelle faced, she maintained a sweet, humble demeanor. She kept singing, praying, and worshiping God. Do you believe that God can take your “little” and turn it into “much”?

“Dear Father in heaven, You know how little money I have for my family, but I choose to put You first. On everything I make, I will put 10% into the offering plate to further Your work.” Immediately, he counted the money in his pocket and gave 10% on the pitiful amount. Nevertheless, he promised God that he would continue to return 10% of his income, no matter what. Within three months, unexpected blessings began to happen. Alexander found a...
