In July 2021, God placed Debi at yet another crossroads. She retired, knowing God was leading. But where? Nearly a year later, she and her then 14-year-old schnauzer embarked on a 2,200-mile journey to move from Michigan to Washington State where God’s clear call established them. Today, Debi writes and photographs nature more than ever, including cougar tracks in the snow on her deck. She also works closely with Mara Vision Outreach, a ministry that teaches the Maasai and Samburu tribes in Kenya about Jesus.

All of us began to boot up our computers so we could accomplish the project list for the day. Michelle tried several times before expressing exasperation that hers remained silent and black. Even the software engineer in the house could not revive the equipment. Remembering that we had not consulted with the Lord that morning, we stopped and gifted our hands and minds to our God almighty. We then returned to our business. Michelle clicked the “on” button one more time, and...

While any child is a marvel from God, Isaac was a stunning birth to parents who could physically no longer bear children; furthermore, he was a reflection of God’s power. God worked many miracles for Abraham along the way, but the real miracle was...

The miracles of the Bible happened because the people of God were in constant communion with Him. When they pressed an issue before His throne of grace, they knew they could count on God to do His part because they had done theirs. Grandma knew firsthand the miracles God would work because she had that kind of relationship with Him. The legacy she left her family was to...

More than a century ago, the pauper preacher George A. Young received a meager salary shepherding his congregation and doing carpentry work as well. In fact, his wife and children also served the Lord alongside this priest of their family. Time passed, and after a number of years, this family was so happy to finally build a new house for themselves. Their joy was short-lived...

Of the millions of Hebrew people, only Achan was disobedient. This principle is the same with us. What appears as one tiny, seemingly insignificant sin pollutes our entire beings. We can be 99.99 percent pure, but that 0.01 percent affects us profoundly. That 0.01 percent of sin is what holds us back.
