I recently moved from the city to a small town in the country. I returned to my former residence to pick up mail and to pass on extra keys to the new owner of my previous home. She greeted me and said she had found, left on a shelf, a photo of a baby in a playpen. It was a picture of my daughter who is now 48 years old. How awe-inspiring to be reminded of the precious gift of life in a newborn child. Every living thing is a miracle. Life is a miracle. We are born into this world a living creature, formed by the power of our creative God. He has given us the breath of life. Yet, even more mysterious is the spiritual birth, as God quickens the spirit of all who turn to Him and acknowledge His Lordship and sovereignty — and we give Him permission to change us.

We are unable to change anyone, not even ourselves. But God, by His transforming grace and power of love, is able to change us. By beholding Him we are changed. As He works within us, it is our privilege and our calling to be so concerned for the salvation of others that we can step out in faith to intercede for those ignorant of the Father's love — many are unaware of the great sacrifice that Jesus has made for the benefit of ALL.

Intercede for Others: Prayers Make a Difference

We are co-laborers with Christ. He includes us in the plan of redemption to win souls for the Kingdom of God. When you intercede for your family, friends, and those you meet, God is moving through the Holy Spirit to draw them close, and to quicken their hearts to be made alive in Him. Turning to God and trusting Him brings about the new birth, a miracle, a new life in Christ.

“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.” (Ephesians 2:4-7)

Call to Action

Jesus came into this world to save us from the consequences of sin and death, and to reconcile all things to Himself. We are the object of His LOVE! Allow Him to love you and make you alive in Him, forever.
