The Pope pontificates. Politicians promise. People ponder. What in the world is happening?

A predicted pandemic, a global lockdown, a planet in crisis, a GREAT shaking, all prophesied in the Word of God. Should we as believers be surprised? No, not at all. We have the Word of God and the scriptures clearly teach the coming of the Lord. This website is all about getting ready, ready for the return of Jesus! Getting ready for His coming in the clouds of glory to establish His Kingdom and to claim for Himself His people who are waiting for His return. We can be ready! We must be ready!

God's Word Reminds Us

"And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows" (Matthew 24:6-8).

God's Word Calls Us

“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world" (1 Peter 5:6-9).

We are the children of God. Loved, accepted, forgiven, unafraid, and determined to stand in the time of trouble. The previous year, 2020 was one of major change and disruption in our lives globally. And now, well into 2021, we see no let-up of these challenges. The virus, the economy, the loss of freedoms, and restrictions on movement, are all pointing to the fulfillment of prophecy and the coming of the Lord. The question is: will we be motivated and ruled by fear? Or will we stand on the promises in the Word of God, trusting in the One who has redeemed us, the Lord Jesus?  “The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them. Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him” (Psalm 34:7-8)!

The news channels report numbers of coronavirus cases and deaths and the attempts of government agencies to maintain order and control. Vaccines are rolled out in communities across the globe. Much is discussed about the efficacy and safety of the vaccines. We hear of vaccine passports being prepared, of mandatory compliance, and wonder where it will take us.

Ellen White writes in The Great Controversy that we are living in perilous days and that we must not be unprepared. “We should now seek a deep and living experience in the things of God. We have not a moment to lose. Events of vital importance are taking place around us; we are on Satan’s enchanted ground. Sleep not sentinels of God; the foe is lurking near, ready at any moment, should you become lax and drowsy, to spring upon you and make you his prey.”1 We can expect hardship and rejection and harsh treatment in the days to come. There will be opposition to our expressions of faith, and we will be accused of causing the distresses in the world.

But Ellen White goes on to tell of the wonderful rescue and appearance of the Lord coming through the clouds. Even as darkness covers the earth, the rainbow shines through to give evidence of the holy covenant of God with His people.  His promises are sure. He will save His people and there will be an end to sin. The world in turmoil will be left behind, not even brought to remembrance. The Holy City of God and the new heavens and the new earth will be displayed before the thousands of those redeemed by the blood of the Lamb of God, the Lord Jesus.

God has given us the Son. He has given us His Word. His promises will be fulfilled. Eternity awaits us. Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice!

I was suffering from a deep depression, so severe that my name was on the suicidal list at the hospital. The depression was followed by an anxiety attack that I had earlier that year, and I thought I was going to have a heart attack! I ended up at an urgent care clinic, and the doctor gave me a piece of paper with...
