As told by Pastor Woodburn

“I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”

Genesis 28:15

I had just completed a series of evangelistic meetings in Mandeville, Jamaica, West Indies. Anxious to get home to my family in Kingston, Jamaica, I decided to leave the night the meeting was over. After greeting all the church folks and congratulating the new converts, I got in my car and began the one-and-a-half-hour drive home. I wasn't feeling particularly tired that night, so I knew I would be okay.

All of a sudden, I woke up. I noticed I was halfway done with my trip. I wasn’t sure how I had gotten to this town. I was in a daze. "When did I pass this store? When did I pass this town?" I began to question myself. Then, I realized I had been asleep for at least half an hour on the winding road that would lead me to Kingston. I have always believed in God’s miraculous power. I’m so thankful God worked a miracle for me! The car had kept driving smoothly, taking all the curves, stopping when and where necessary, and I had no idea this was taking place.

My friend, I want to assure you that God is real. Many believe that miracles are a thing of the past or they are skeptical about the very miracles that have occurred in the Bible. I’m alive today because God is as real today as He was in the beginning, for He does not change. In Revelation 19:11, He is called Faithful and True. Our Lord IS faithful and true. You can put your trust in Him.

Call to Action

I invite you to have your own experiences with Him. He has a plan for your life. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
