Have you ever experienced the sinking feeling of losing something you truly rely on? Perhaps you’ve lost your car keys, wallet, or cellphone before and have felt a sense of bewilderment or anxiety as you kept searching for them.

In 2024, I found myself in that exact situation when I misplaced my Bible. One morning in our hotel room, we were late getting somewhere. We were very rushed trying to grab everything before leaving, when I realized I didn’t have my Bible. I started searching, but it was no use. Others helped in the search, but we didn’t find it. We were about to leave without it. I needed to find it quickly! I sat down on the couch and prayed to God. I claimed, “Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7 NKJV). I asked Him to help me find it. As soon as I opened my eyes, my hands went directly to where it was, under something by the couch. God is amazing! He knew where my Bible was when my family and I had no idea, even after thorough searching. Jesus answered my prayer. “And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son” (John 14:13 NKJV).

Jesus cares greatly for each one of us. All we need to do is slow down and cast our care upon Him. God is there, ready to have us cast all our burdens and cares upon him.  “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7).

Call to Action

It wasn’t until I cast my concern to Jesus and asked for His help that the situation was resolved, and my Bible was found. Praise God for His care even in the little things.

God cares about you and all of your cares and concerns. Will you cast them on Jesus, whatever they might be (pain, heartache, financial troubles, etc.)?

Remember, whatever your care and concern is, big or small, Jesus can remove it and fill you with more and more awe of how awesome He is.
