Did you know that over the last 10 years, Buffalo, New York has averaged nearly 100 inches of snow each year?1 I really enjoy playing in the snow, and the fun it brings to our lives. There is something more though to snow. Snow brightens up the dark dreariness of winter. It covers the dead trees with its white consistency and the dormant grass is covered by snow.

Jesus came to this world to die for us to cover us with the blood of the lamb. Just as the snow covers up the death in this world, so Jesus’ blood covers our sins if we repent and ask forgiveness.

Call to Action

In the Bible, God’s Word says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9 ESV).

Let’s accept Him as our Savior today.
