90 pounds lost in two years. That’s a lot! In 2018, a friend started exercising rigorously and eating healthier to combat back pain and elevated lab results — and along the way he lost a lot of weight.

10 years ago, I decided to start running 3 miles a day instead of filling a prescription to address my high blood pressure levels — within a few years I lost 30 pounds, my blood pressure levels normalized, and I felt 10 years younger.

What about taking care of our spiritual condition? Do we spiritually exercise each day? If we think physical exercise is important — spiritual exercise is even more valuable. The Bible says, “Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come” (1 Timothy 4:8 NLT).
