It took Moses 40 years of working as a shepherd (Acts 7:30) to be ready for God’s calling in his life — to lead the Israelites to the Promised Land in Canaan. God is working to prepare people to enter the Heavenly Canaan. If you are willing and surrendering yourself to Him, He will help you get ready and to follow His calling in your life — just like with Moses — He wants you to lead others to the Promised Land (Matthew 28:19-20). Sometimes God will work fast and sometimes slow — trust Him, He knows what’s best!
