"As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious."

1 Peter 2:2-3

Have you ever considered the association between tasting and judging? By tasting something, a determination may be made as to whether it is fresh or spoiled, salty or sweet, good or bad. God desires us to taste the sweet savor of His grace, and experience for ourselves that it is good. When we taste God's grace, we have a reason to be confident in Him, and to believe in and desire His word. It is our faith in God that opens us to receive more grace.

Call to Action

Enthusiastically study and meditate the sincere milk of God's word. Meditate on the meaning of the fundamental truths in the Bible. Make a sincere effort to live out that truth.

This month's Get Ready Magazine theme is Taste and See! We hope you will remember what the Lord has done for you, and that it will influence you to love Him more!
