From the Bible, we understand that the Holy Spirit is a Helper to all who follow Jesus.

"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you" (John 14:26 ESV).

God tells us through His word that the Holy Spirit's role is to help us in our walk with Christ.

"Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words" (Romans 8:26 ESV).

The Spirit wants to help us with our weaknesses. He will also be with us whether we are having a bad day or sharing Jesus with a stranger. How do we expect the Holy Spirit to help us if we are not asking for His guidance and help in our lives?

"If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!" (Luke 11:13 ESV).
