Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

MARK 11:24

Jesus Christ is our example in prayer. The Bible tells us that, "in the days of His flesh, [Jesus] offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear" (Hebrews 5:7). God resurrected this same Jesus from the grave, and now He "is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them" (Hebrews 7:25).

We find in these verses an important key to powerful, faith-filled prayer: godly fear. Jesus lived so that His conscience was always clear before God. He always chose the good and refused the evil. He was always available and willing to do good works for God. This lifestyle gave Jesus a perfect faith that powered His prayer life.

You can pray like Jesus prays!
