In My Distress, God Saved Me!
In My Distress, God Saved Me!

It felt like I was in a washing machine. I lost my bearings. I did not know what was up and what was down. I kept spinning in a circle. I was praying the whole time. I said, “Lord, my daughter and husband are going to watch me drown. I am scared Lord, very scared. I need You to help me. I cannot hold my breath much longer. Please Lord, help me!” This was honestly one of the scariest things I can picture facing. As soon as I said “Lord, help me,” I felt...

A voice began to speak very clearly to me; I knew that it was God’s voice. He told me some very personal things. I told Him how sorry I was for hurting Him. I was a broken person. Several times, I felt like I wanted to leave this room. I was afraid of what He might show me next. He said...

My husband, the primary breadwinner for our family, lost his job unexpectedly. This news rattled us deeply. The security of his income to provide for us would be gone. We did what we have done many times in the past — we prayed. We prayed and fasted. A year later...

How often do we look at the storm instead of keeping our eyes on the one who can save us? Be still before the Lord; listen for His voice. Keep your eyes on Him. Do not let yourself be distracted or afraid during these times. We have a Savior who loves us and is doing all He can to prepare us for His soon return.

A Deeper Prayer Life
A Deeper Prayer Life
Faith M. Connovich · Mar 24 4 minute read

I do not deserve answers to prayer. I do not deserve his incredible mercy. Yet somehow, He continues to shower me with what I like to refer to as a bucket of endless grace and love. As I was growing up and even into my adult life, I think that I had it all wrong, for my prayer life was more of a routine than a relationship.

Testimony: Witnessing God’s Love, Mercy & Healing — Part 2
Faith M. Connovich · Sep 24 11 minute read

I was seeing myself the way God sees me, and I cried. It was extremely painful; I was sobbing. I realized how I had dishonored His character. I had let Him down. The one person who loved me enough to send His Son to die for me, I had hurt.
