Ophelia is now a retired STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) Consultant. She is a Nationally Certified STEM Educator through the National Institute of STEM Education (NISE) and has served as an Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellow at the National Science Foundation (NSF).
