“Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding.”

John 2:2

For several days, I was experiencing severe pain in my knee. The pain was constant and intense. Simple movements became difficult, and walking—especially going up or down the stairs—was a struggle. It began to affect my daily activities, and I wondered how long I would have to live with this discomfort.

Then something remarkable happened.

One Sabbath morning, around 3:00 a.m., the Lord woke me from my sleep. It was not the kind of waking that comes from restlessness—it was a gentle but clear impression that I should get up and pray. As I spent time in prayer, the Holy Spirit impressed me to read a passage in the Bible from the Gospel of John, chapter 2:1-10.

In that story, Jesus had been invited to a wedding. During the celebration, the wine ran out. It was an embarrassing and difficult moment for the hosts. Yet because Jesus was present, a miracle took place. What seemed like a problem became an opportunity for divine intervention. Jesus turned water into wine and provided exactly what was needed.

As I reflected on that story, a powerful realization came to my heart: Jesus had been invited.

Because He was invited, He stepped into the situation and performed a miracle.

Right there in my prayer, I made a simple but sincere invitation. I said: “Lord Jesus, just as You were invited to that wedding and You performed a miracle when the need arose, I invite You into my situation right now. Please stretch out Your hand and touch my knee. Lord, I ask You to bestow Your healing upon me.”

After praying, I got up to begin my morning routine. As I started walking down the stairs toward the kitchen, something incredible happened.

The pain was gone. Not gradually. Not slowly. Instantly.

I paused for a moment and tested my knee again. I moved it, stepped down another stair, and then another. The pain that had troubled me for days had completely disappeared. In that moment, my heart filled with gratitude and awe. I knew that the Lord had touched me.

The same Jesus who performed miracles in the Bible is still alive and at work today. The same Savior who responded at a wedding in Galilee still responds when His children call on Him.

My experience reminded me of a simple but powerful truth: When we invite Jesus into our situations, He brings His presence, His power, and His healing.

Call to Action

Perhaps you are facing your own “out of wine” moment—a situation where you feel there is a lack, pain, or uncertainty. Maybe it is a physical need, an emotional burden, or a spiritual struggle.

My encouragement to you is simple: Invite Jesus into your situation.

Speak to Him in prayer. Place your need in His hands. The same Jesus who worked miracles in the past is still working today. When we invite Him in, we open the door for His power to move in our lives. And sometimes, just like in my experience, the miracle happens when we take the next step of faith.

I am encouraged by God’s invitation in Jeremiah 33:3 saying, “Call to me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”

God is still listening. He is still answering. And He is still performing miracles for those who invite Him into their lives.
