Did you know that researchers have found that flossing your teeth can help your memory? Flossing prevents gum disease, which prevents stiff blood vessels, which cause memory issues.1 Our wonderfully designed human body was made so that nothing operates for or by itself. In fact, everything in creation revolves around this principle, of give and take.

In our lives, when we let Jesus be our sole Source of satisfaction, joy, love, health and worth, we will naturally give of what He has imparted to us. It is not a choice, but a byproduct of His transformative power to fill us to overflowing with His Spirit. Is it your desire to be so full of Jesus that you are lost in His love and find every worldly care grow strangely dim?

“Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NLT). Not only are we to honor God with our physical body, but also our mind and soul as well. Jesus is the one who keeps us alive, even when we mistreat or damage our bodies. Why not give yourself to Him and let Him cleanse your temple and refill it with His precious love so that you can bless others with what He has given to you?
