In 1921, Eric Liddell, a rising British track champion, was counseled by a friend not to go on a previously planned biking trip before an upcoming race, as it would stretch the wrong muscles. However, Eric did not follow his friend’s wise counsel and took the trip anyway. When he got back, he suffered the hard consequences of getting back in shape.1

When warned by the Holy Spirit, it's best to follow His advice, even though you may think otherwise (Proverbs 3:5-6).
