An ostrich's eye is bigger than its brain. This may be why they often run around in circles when trying to escape predators instead of using their speed to simply run away.

Paul calls for the “eyes of our hearts” to be enlightened so that we will stop running in circles and know the hope of His calling and our inheritance in the saints (Ephesians 1:18 ESV).
