Bright, fresh, and full of flavor, this Holiday Cranberry Relish is a colorful and healthy addition to your holiday table. With the natural sweetness of fruit and a little maple syrup, it's easy to prepare ahead of time and perfect for sharing with family and friends.
Holiday Cranberry Relish (serves 6-8)
Prep time: 20 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 12-to-16-ounce bag of fresh cranberries
- 1/2 organic naval orange (rind included), sliced thin, then cut into quarters (see note 1 below)
- 1 organic golden delicious apple, quartered and cored (see note 2 below)
- 1 organic red delicious apple, quartered and cored (see note 3 below)
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped well (or use packaged chopped walnuts)
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained

Instructions
- In a food processor, process cranberries, orange, apples, and walnuts separately into small bite-size chunks, being careful not to purée them. Begin with cranberries and chop well. Set aside each in a separate bowl.
- Chop the orange (including rind) in the processor and add it to the bowl with the cranberries.
- Add the apples and walnuts to the bowl with the cranberries and orange. Then add the pineapple and maple syrup to the same bowl and mix well.
- Chill. Best served the next day.
Note 1: Use an organic orange because you’re using the peel and we want to avoid any possible pesticides.
Note 2: Use organic apples because of pesticides as well.
Note 3: Can substitute organic pears for apples.

Call to Action
As you prepare and share this cranberry relish, take a moment to thank God for the many blessings He provides. The Bible reminds us, “Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever” (Psalm 107:1). This holiday season, why not share a dish with someone who could use a little encouragement? A simple act of kindness can be a beautiful way to reflect God's love.
