Peace is freedom. The kind of peace God has promised can only come from Him. It is a peace we can claim every day. Sometimes the Lord just wants us to hold still, to cling to Him, to rest on Him. God calls us to brace ourselves on Him so we can be refreshed, revived and established. When we trust in Him, we can have total confidence.

“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Trust in the LORD forever, For in Yah, the LORD, is everlasting strength."

Isaiah 26:3–4

When I remember His promises, I will have His perfect peace if my mind is stayed on Him. "Thank you, Lord, for your peace," I pray. "I need your peace, your strength. I trust in you." I fix my mind on Him. After that I feel like a new person, less burdened, all the weight taken off me, complete in Him.

"...let him take hold of My strength, that he may make peace with Me; And he shall make peace with Me" (Isaiah 27:5).
