"Trust and obey for there's no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey."1
That is a beautiful hymn, but not only are the words beautiful, they are powerful! The only way we can have peace in this world is by TRUSTING in Jesus.
Remember, when you are afraid or not sure where to go or what to do next, turn to Jesus. Trust Him, and follow His leading.
"When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?"
Psalm 56:3-4 (ESV)
"I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will advise you with My eye upon you."
Psalm 32:8 (NASB)
Call to Action
We are to trust in God and then obey what He says. That is the simplicity of the Bible. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding" (Proverbs 3:5 ESV). Trust God and then lean not on our own ideas but lean on His ideas/commandments. If we trust and obey, we will be happy in Jesus just as that famous song goes!
