"Then Jesus told his disciples, 'If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.'"
Matthew 16:24-25 (ESV)
In this passage, we clearly can see that the Christian life is not one of ease and pleasure, but rather we are to take up our cross and follow Jesus.

Call to Action
"Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service. Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God" (Romans 12:1-2 World English Bible).
We are to present ourselves to God as a sacrifice (of time, resources, etc.), and by doing this, by having a heart of sacrifice, we are honoring God. Let us all be found FAITHFUL in fulfilling the call of sacrifice that Jesus asks, no matter the cost.
After reading this issue, we pray that you are ENCOURAGED and EMPOWERED and ready to answer the call of sacrifice whatever it may be.
