During this season of the year, the leaves are falling, and much of nature is preparing for winter. Although everything around us seems to be falling, we are called to stand for Jesus.
"A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only look with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked. Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place—the Most High, who is my refuge—no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent" (Psalm 91:7–10 ESV).
Throughout every season of life—both the good and the difficult—we are called to remain faithful to Jesus. Even when everything around us seems to be going wrong, we can trust that He is with us. He promises to be with us "to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:20 ESV).
These promises offer us hope, courage, and reassurance. But standing for Jesus requires more than simply knowing His promises. We need to spend time with Him, deepen our relationship with Him, and learn to trust Him through every season of life.
